Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) has released new performance clutch kits for the 2005-2010 Toyota Tacoma, 2005-2010 Tacoma Pre-Runner, 2005-2010 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner, 2005-2006 Tacoma Tundra and the 2006-2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser.

ACT’s new clutch kits for the applications above feature a Heavy Duty pressure plate that incorporates hardened diaphragm fingers for decreased wear and provides a 32 percent increase in clamp force over the stock unit.

The ACT Street Clutch Kits combine the Heavy Duty pressure plate and a Performance Street disc. The disc features special performance organic friction materials able to withstand increased heat and abuse, steel-backed linings for high-burst strength and modifications engineered for quicker shifting. The ACT Street Clutch Kits provide a moderate and consistent pedal feel, smooth engagement, significantly improved durability and increased torque capacity up to 
455 lbs./ft.

ACT Race Clutch Kits combine a Heavy Duty pressure plate with an Xtreme Race Disc and will hold up to 585 lbs./ft. of torque. Cerametallic Xtreme Discs for this application are available in 6-pad, spring-centered and rigid-hub designs and are very durable while allowing for quick shifting. The Xtreme Discs are for high-powered engines and recommended for track use only.
